I thought I would share the unique graduation gifts I made for my 3 kids. When my daughter graduated from high school many years ago (I feel so old!) I raided her t-shirt drawer and dug through boxes of schoolwork and mementos I had saved over the years and started working on a special quilt. Well, Bohemia beer has issued a call for entries to enter their "The Kahlo Challenge" from May 17 to June 13 by submitting an original painting inspired by Frida Kahlo's life and work. Artists must be 21 years of age or older and Woo-Hoo! the grand prize is $10,000.
In order to qualify, the painting must include Bohemia imagery (name, logo, bottle or label) and be clearly inspired by Kahlo's genre. In addition to these criteria, entries will be judged on creativity and originality; quality of composition and design; and overall impression.
